One thing that Ron White was correct in stating was, “You can’t fix stupid.” Why do people throw away owner manuals? Why do people not read their owner manuals? I know I am guilty of not reading the owner manuals on some items, but there are some that I will read before I touch the item in question. Such as the owners manual for a wood burning stove. I would read it from cover to cover before I put one stick of wood in it. I have a homeowner who is not only burning “green” wood in their stove, but they don’t know what temp they’re burning it at because they don’t have a thermostat on it like they are supposed to, like the owner manual says. From what we can tell, they are burning the fire so hot that they have cracked flue tile in the chimney! WTF!? How do you get a fire so hot that you crack flue tile? That would be to hot to stay in the house! These people could burn their house down! Their house that is only five years old! I’m sure that some of you are wondering why “green” wood is such a big deal, well, it creates creosote. Creosote is a substance that builds up in a chimney that is highly flammable and can cause a chimney fire. The company that produced the stove has even put a suggested maintenance regimen in the owners manual. It tells them to check it once a month to make sure that there is no creosote build up in the chimney, and that if they can’t see it to do it to hire a professional to do it for them. I’d hire a professional for something like that no mater what. I could just see myself messing something up and burning my house down! I’m not stupid when it comes to fire! Let the professionals deal with all of that. These people spent all this money on a brand new house, and through their own stupidity, they could burn it down. Some people are just so stupid.
